Hackers target DayZ and Arma 3 feedback tools - change your passwords

Bohemia Interactive has alerted users to another potential security breach.

DayZ and Arma 3 developer Bohemia Interactive has announced a "potential security breach" of the Mantis Tracker system, which is used to collecte feedback and bug reports for the two titles.

"While there is currently no evidence which indicates that the hackers were successful in their attempt to collect user data, we have decided to take all Feedback Tracker systems offline, so we can investigate the issue further," Bohemia advised users in a forum post.

"As a safety precaution, even though we do not believe user data was accessed, we strongly recommend all users of feedback.arma3.com and feedback.dayz.com who have used the same password elsewhere to change it immediately on all applicable websites and services."

Luckily, the Mantis Feedback Tracker system is totally separate to Bohemia Accounts, so you won't be affected unless you've signed up to submit bug reports. Bohemia has invited players to utilise its forums to report bugs while it works to bring the system back online - presumably with stronger defences.

What makes all this especially notable is that it's the second security incident for Bohemia this month; the DayZ forums were hacked wide open in early February, with all user details compromised.
