Detective Pikachu game hits eShop in Japan next week

That Great Detective Pikachu trademark which popped up over two years ago is now a thing.

The game releases in Japan next week, and it's titled Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Combination. Pokemon fans in the region can pre-order and pre-download it from today.

According Nintendo World Report, the cinematic adventure game features a talking Pikachu who solves mysteries around the city with his friend Tim.

Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Combination will release in the Japanese eShop next week for ¥1200. The price will increase to ¥1500 on February 29.

No word on an international release at present.
