Torment: Tides of Numenera releasing to backers tomorrow

Torment: Tides of Numenera delivers the Planescape: Torment followup we've been waiting for since, oh, Christmas 1999.

Torment: Tides of Numenera is almost upon us. Inxile boss Brian Fargo has announced beta level Kickstarter backers will be able to grab the RPG via Steam Early Access on January 21, US time.

According to the image below, the general Steam Early Access release is set for January 26, so you don't have long to wait if you missed the initial campaign.

Torment: Tides of Numenera is the spiritual sequel to Planescape: Torment, set in the Numenera role-playing world rather than Wizards of the Coast's venerable Dungeons and Dragons setting, Planescape.

Many of the original development team are back on board, including Chris Avellone, and in general old school RPG fans are pretty damn excited about it - especially after the success of Wasteland 2.
