Celebrate Valentine's Day playing 2v2 Crucible Mode in Destiny's Crimson Days event

Instead of giving your loved one chocolates or a card this Valentine's Day, why not fire up Destiny and head to the Tower instead?

If your loved one plays the game that is, and wouldn't deck you for not buying something lovey-dovey.

According to the latest weekly update, a ritual known as Crimson Days will be included in the February update along with the previously outed 2v2 Crucible Mode.

Dubbed Crimson Doubles, it contains a "special twist" with new gameplay and mechanics. You and a your partner will have a chance to "earn some sweet loot together in the Crucible."

Not much else was said on the matter, other than it will go live on February 9 and last for one week. It will also incorporate dances and some virtual candy similar to Festival of the Lost.

There will changes made to the Crucible which should reduce latency and news on matchmaking would be soon.

Bungie said the next Weekly Update will share more details on the Crimson Days event as well as the February update in general.

Until then, there's always next week's Iron Banner.
