Pulp Fiction, The Hateful Eight producer named co-head of Activision's new film division

The Hateful Eight producer Stacey Sher has been named co-president of Activision Blizzard Studios, the new television and films division the company announced in November 2015.

The two-time Academy Award nominee will partner with former Disney executive Nick van Dyk to co-lead the studio.

Sher has produced over two dozen films such as Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained, Garden State, A Walk Among the Tombstones, Along Came Polly, Erin Brockovich, Gattaca, Reality Bites and others.

Over a dozen TV shows such as Reno 911 have been produced by Sher as well.

Various projects are underway at Activision's new media studio. The first project on tap is a Skylanders TV show, with a Call of Duty film series in the works.

Skylanders Academy will be an animated TV series and is being led by script writer Eric Rogers whose resume includes Futurama, Lie to Me, NYPD Blue and Brickleberry.
