Pre-orders for Hitman being cancelled through PS Store, but don't worry

Those who have pre-ordered Hitman through the PlayStation Store may have recieved a notice that their order had been cancelled. Square Enix says not to worry over it though.

Many users also noted the pre-order page had disappeared from the store four days ago.

According to a notice posted by Sony in its community forum, Square notified the company that the "configuration of the product" had changed significantly.

"As a result we have withdrawn the current pre-order from PlayStation Store and will cancel all existing pre-orders," reads the notice. "If you have pre-ordered the game, you will receive email confirmation when your pre-order has been cancelled. A revised pre-order for Hitman will be available on the store soon."

The official Hitman Twitter account stated this has nothing to do with a release delay, as the date is still March 11.

It's just that a "few things" are being adjusted and more information will be provided in an update in a few days.

News of this situation was noted by Pixel Dynamo yesterday.
