Job Simulator, The Modern Zombie Taxi Co. are both coming to PlayStation VR
Announced earlier this year for Steam VR, Job Simulator was revealed for PlayStation VR today during the PlayStation Experience keynote. So was The Modern Zombie Taxi Co. from Kyoto-based developer VITEI Backroom.
Job Simulator from Owlchemy Labs is set in a future where robots have replaced all human jobs. The jerks. So that humans will never forget what it was like to work, the Job Simulator was created so they can re-live the "glory days of work" by simulating the job of a gourmet chef, an office worker, a convenience store clerk, and others.
Players will user their hand in this VR experience via two tracked PS Move Controllers, one for each hand. These are used to manipulate the environment allowing the player to pick up and throw items in 90fps. It also makes use of the PlayStation Camera which encourages players to "stand, reach, and move around the space in front of the TV." It's out sometime in 2016 and is playable at PSX this weekend.
In The Modern Zombie Taxi Co., you will play what s assumed to be the last human on earth alive. But you are not alone. The world is filled with zombies, and you will be driving these tea drinking brain-eaters around town. The undead will bounce around in the taxi, and some will want you to fulfill rather "particular requests" for their taxi ride.
If while careening around town they get up in your personal space, just punch them in the face using the DualShock 4 and PlayStation Camera. You will also need to watch out for other zombies on the road in their own car. They don't drive too well, apparently.
The Modern Zombie Taxi Co. is in development in partnership with Sony Santa Monica and will be released next year.
