This weekend's indie darling is the adorable but hardcore Hollow Knight

Hollow Knight is a hardcore sidescrolling action game from a small indie team, and everyone's pretty interested in it as of the latest trailer.

"But Brenna," you may say. "The world is full of indie Metroidvania games! There's even one called 'Shovel Knight' occupying this niche. Why should I care?"

I'm certain there's an argument about never having enough of this genre, but rather than attempt to make it, I'll just show you the beautiful trailer that has people so excited. I may also drop the word "hardcore" and point out that the title rings a few Dark Souls bells.

Crowdfunded last year, Hollow Knight is coming to Linux, Mac, PC and Wii U in 2016. Developer Team Cherry is based in the very best city in the whole world.
