During today's Nintendo Direct presentation, the platform holder revealed a new free-to-start 3DS eShop title.

Called Pokemon Picross, its a pretty standard picross-style game except that players will unlock Pokemon as they play. These Pokemon will offer support abilities. Every mega and legendary Pokemon is included.

There will be 300 stages and the option to challenge your friends. If you're struggling you can use real world money to purchase Picrites, which will extend your play sessions and make puzzles easier.

Pokemon Picross launches in December. Hopefully this one will go down better than the oft-derided Pokemon Shuffle.
