Xbox One Elite Controller "supplies limited" through November

Xbox One Elite Controller sold out at your local shop? It's not just you, pal.

The Xbox One Elite Controller has proved a little difficult to track down at retail, and Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb has confirmed that it's largely sold out.

Hryb said that new stock is expected to hit retailers in weekly shipments but that "supplies may be limited" until early December.

Since it's unlikely demand for video game accessories will go down as we get closer to the holidays, the shortage may be due to supply issues - so it's probably not wise to draw any conclusions about how quickly these $150 control pads are selling. Not that we have much choice, really, since Microsoft won't even tell us how many consoles it's shipped.
