Datamining reveals Street Fighter 5 DLC characters, ranking system, more

According to sound files located in the beta version of the game on PC, posted by Shoryuken, the following characters are expected to be added as post launch DLC:

  • Guile - Debuted in Street Fighter 2, included in many others
  • Balrog - Street Fighter 2
  • Ibuki - Street Fighter 3 and Street Fighter 4
  • Juri - New character introduced in Super Street Fighter 4
  • Alex - Street Fighter 3
  • Urien - Street Fighter 3

The files also note a ranking system which takes the fighter from rookie to hero standing at the top of the ladder, reports PCgamesN.

Each level contains sub-categories such as Super Bronze. The files also suggest Street Fighter 5 players will be able to watch the Capcom Pro Tour Premier tournaments thorough an in-game integration system similar to DotaTV.

The six characters posted above will be purchasable using Fight Money, and released individually throughout the year after the core game launch.

The fighter Dhalsim was announced today for Street Fighter 5, along with a February 16 release in the US and Europe on PC and PlayStation 4.
