Daum Games has detailed alpha test sessions for Black Desert Online, which was confirmed for western launch last week.

Servers will go live on October 26 at 8:00am CEST/12:00pm EDT/9:00am PDT and remain open until November 1, closing at 8:00pm CEST/12:00am EDT/7:00pm PDT.

Keys will be distributed through community and fan sites as well as Back Desert's social media channels. If you've git an alpha key, you'll be able to grab the client on Friday at 1:37pm CEST (4:37am PDT/7:37am EDT).

Black Desert Online will also be playable at Paris Games Week during the same time frame, and players who give it a go at the booth will receive a "special treat".

The western alpha client provides "a basic gameplay experience" capped at level 30, Daum said. English will be the only language option, and many features will be locked or absent. The focus of this test is client configuration and server integration, not showing you a grand old time. Look for the known issues list when you get started.
