Star Wars Battlefront may support private matches post-launch

Star Wars Battlefront won't support private matches at launch, but they're not off the table entirely.

The Star Wars Battlefront Twitter has made one of those non-committal comments that inspire us to hope, most fickle of emotions.

Replying to a query, the account manager said that Battlefront "will not have private matches at launch". Naturally our first thought is that it may have private matches later on. These are the slim pickings with which we set our table.

Anyway, you can always party up with your mates to ensure that eight of you end up together; in some game modes, that'll essentially ensure a private match. Larger modes like Walker Assault have high enough player counts that you might be hard pressed to fill a private match unless you and all your pals are millionaires with no life commitments.

Star Wars Battlefront launches on November 17 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
