Elite: Dangerous 1.4 introduces a new PvP arena mode, and Frontier is making the most of it by offering a $100,000 prize pool in the first Close Quarters Combat tournament.

The tournament will be open to all players across Mac, PC and Xbox One, and those who win through online qualifiers will invited to compete in the final. Flights and accommodation will be provided, and the final carries a grand prize of $15,000.

More details on the competition will be released in the next few weeks. In the meantime, the arrival of update 1.4 and the influx of Xbox One players should keep you busy. Learn more on the Elite Dangerous blog, or check out the patch notes on the forums.
