Over 75,000 people attended EGX 2015 last week

Tons of folks attended EGX 2015 in Birmingham last week, and the next EGX Rezzed event has been dated.

According to some number crunching, over 75,000 people visited the four-day event, with 40% of visitors attending an EGX event for the first time.

The show this year featured upwards of 200 pre-release games and over 45% of visitors traveled 100 miles or more to attend the show and get hands-on with the titles. And feedback from attendees showed that 90% of visitors intend to visit EXG again and recommend the event to friends.

“The stage is well-and-truly set for EGX to increase its international significance in the global video games event circuit”, said Rupert Loman, founder and CEO of Gamer Network. “Ideally timed just before the lucrative holiday shopping period, the event is a proven platform for driving pre-launch hype and influencing consumer purchasing decisions.

"91% of visitors use the show to decide which products to buy”.

Additional statistics and insights will be released in the coming days.

The next event, EGX Rezzed, will take place at Tobacco Dock in London April 7-9, 2016. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, October 16.
