Dungeon Defenders 2 releases on PS4 next week as a paid alpha

Dungeon Defenders 2 will eventually release as a free-to-play title, but from next week PS4 owners can pay to play it early.

Dungeon Defenders 2

Dungeon Defenders 2 was announced for PS4 late last year, at the same time that it became available on Steam Early Access. Next week's release will not be the full and final version, though.

On September 29, players will have the choice between three different bundles, offering them $15, $25 or $75 worth of in-game content. This is the only way to access the game while it is in its Alpha state, and it's unclear how far away a full release is.

This will be the first paid alpha on the system.
