Black Ops 3 nets Call of Duty's first Australian R18+ label

Call of Duty has been hit with an adults only rating in Australia.

Black Ops 3 has received an R18+ rating from the Australian Classification Board.

It's the first time the annual shooter series has been rated above MA15+ - a much more holiday gift-friendly category.

The classification references high impact violence as well as as strong impact themes. Hmm! Not a lot of information for caregivers to go on when little Johnny demands one of the hottest titles of the year.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 launches on PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on November 6. It looks like PEGI and the ESRB are yet to return classification.
