How to complete all subclass quests in Destiny: The Taken King

The first time you log into Destiny 2.0, you'll see a purple The Taken King marker flashing above your relevant class Vanguard in the Tower. If you walk over and check-in, you'll be offered a subclass quest.

Completion of these quests, which range from incredibly easy to infuriatingly difficult, will give you a purple class item. You won't be able to wear them until you're level 40, but these cloaks, bonds and marks have a defense rating of 220 and are vital to light-levelling in the early part of you journey into Destiny's second year.

Each quest is comprised of nine sections, five of which are simply speaking to the appropriate Vanguard. The other four focus on the various abilities of each subclass, and mainly on the super.

The Taken King adds three new subclasses to the Warlock, Titan and Hunter classes, namely Stormcaller, Sunbreaker and Nightstalker. We've got a detailed explanation of the new subclasses and their nuances so you don't get lost.

You'll find quests for every subclass at the Vanguards, who're located in the The Hall of Guardians in the Tower. Head to the table in the middle of the room. Hunters will need to visit Cayde-6, while Warlocks will need to have a chat with Ikora Rey. Titans will get their quest from Commander Zavala.

The items on offer from these quest are well worth the effort, as they went live with Destiny 2.0 ahead of The Taken King's release and class as the first true items available from Destiny's second year. Grab the quests, smash the missions and pocket the loot. That's what the entire game's about, after all.
