Kingdom Hearts making a cameo in Disney Infinity 3.0

Disney Infinity 3.0 will acknowledge Disney's other popular world-blending title.

Disney Infinity will include a nice little nod to Kingdom Hearts in the form of an end-game unlock.

Polygon reports players will be able to obtain a Keyblade if they have collected every figure.

To enter speculation mode: is it possible a future Disney Infinity game will include more Kingdom Hearts content? The first two Disney Infinity game threw in Star Wars content as their ultimate unlocks, and now, of course, Star Wars is the major theme of the third one.

Whatever the case, I doubt we'll ever see Disney infinity 4.0: Kingdom Hearts. For one thing it would be a little redundant as Kingdom Hearts already exists as a playable world, and for another, Kingdom Hearts, while much loved, doesn't have the mainstream cultural pull of the big properties Disney has highlighted to date. We got Star Wars this year because of the movie, and Disney will likely pick another major, timely property for its next outing - assuming there is one.

Anyway, Disney Infinity 3.0 launches on PlayStation 3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on August 28 in Europe and August 30 in North America.
