Phishers are targeting Epic Games fans

If you love of Gears of War, Fortnite or Unreal Engine, be wary of your email.

Epic Games has issued a warning to all fans that its name is being leveraged in a new bout of phishing attacks.

If you receive an email purporting to be about Epic, don't click any links in it, and don't reply with any information. Keep an eye on this Epic forum thread for more information as it comes.

The phishing comes in the wake of an external intrusion on the Epic forums, which may be where the phishers got the email addresses they are using - although that's just my speculation.

Thanks, PC Gamer.
