Rainbow Skies is coming to PS4 in 2016 along with Rainbow Moon

Rainbow Skies, the follow-up to SideQuest developed RPG Rainbow Moon, will be released on PlayStation 4 next year along with the original game.

The game is set in a new world with an unrelated story centering around the adventures of Damion, Layne and Ashly when they are “caught in the deadly crossfire of two rival super powers”.

New features include monster taming and combining skill attacks and it has ten times the environments and content of Rainbow Moon.

Rainbow Skies also has "an increased emphasis on storytelling, writing, character backgrounds and acting," so players can expect a complex background story with "multiple, interwoven narratives."

It will also contain short cutscenes called “action clips”, which are played when players reach certain check points denoting specific actions, characters or objects. These will not contain conversations, but help move the story along. Speaking of conversations, each can be skipped at anytime during gameplay if the player wishes.

Rainbow Skies was released on PS3 and Vita in 2015 and it will feature Cross-Save support for all current PlayStation platforms.
