Red Ash Kickstarter closes well short of goal

Red Ash was not the crowdfunding success Comcept was hoping for.

Don't worry though; the game will still be made, because Red Ash was fully funded by Chinese publisher Fuze in a deal announced in the last days of crowdfunding.

The project initially asked for $800,000 to produce the first episode of the Mega Man Legends spiritual successor, but after the publishing deal was announced it was retooled, with all funds to be channeled into stretch goal content.

This scheme managed to pull in $519,999 from Kickstarter backers - still $220,000 short of the required amount for successful funding.

Meanwhile the companion anime did manage its $150,00 goal. So there's that.
