Amiibo Cards will debut in Europe on October 2 alongside the launch of 3DS exclusive Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer.

The news comes via Nintendo of Norway and gives us our first details on how the cards will be distributed.

Players can collect all 100 Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer cards by purchasing blind packs of three. Each pack will contain one "special" card, although it's not clear what that means.

Details may differ for the UK, US and beyond, and pricing has not been announced.

In Japan, the packs of three cost ¥300. We'll know more about how they work once Happy Home Designer launches there at the end of the month.
