Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain to be playable for the first time at gamescom 2015

Attendees at next month's gamescom convention will be the first among the public to get hands-on time with Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.

Konami has announced that it's bringing Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 to gamescom in August.

Both games will be playable, for the first time, to the public. Konami's general manager Martin Schneider called gamescom the "most important consumer exhibition in the world," as reported by Gamespot.

Further plans for the show will be revealed later by Konami.

Gamescom takes place August 5-9 in Germany.
