The classic map project is the idea to bring one classic, fan-favourite Battlefield map to Battlefield 4. A number of maps featured in Battlefield 3, Battlefield 2, and others were put in a poll and the community was asked to pick their favourite.

Taking the poll results into account, as well as other metrics, DICE LA decided to bring Battlefield 2's Dragon Valley into the Community Test Environment of Battlefield 4, and will soon deploy it everyone else. DICE detailed their vision in recreating the map in a blog post, which covers challenges like draw distance in Battlefield 4 vs Battlefield 2, as well as repairable bridges - which do return.

Watch as Westie gives you a first look at the new map in action, and try to remember your favourite spots from back in BF2 days.
