DOOM E3 2015 gameplay shows chainsaw and brutal melee finishers

Bethesda opens with DOOM shaking the room.

Bethesda's E3 showcase opened with DOOM Executive producer Marty Stratton taking the stage. Citing the original DOOM games, which were simple but made gamers feel smart and powerful, Stratton said the foundation of any DOOM experience is combat.

There are three pillars to DOOM combat, the developer said: demons, “big effing guns” and moving really really fast.

DOOM is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One in northern spring 2016.
