Quantum Break has been delayed into 2016

Quantum Break, the Remedy Games shooter title which features live-action content which runs alongside a TV series, has been pushed into 2016 the developer and Microsoft have announced.

According to Remedy's creative director Sam Lake, the extra time will allow the developer to add a bit of polish.

"We are very proud to be part of the amazing line-up Xbox One," said Lake. "We thank our fans for their patience, and we want them to know that the team takes this opportunity to polish and refine the game to create an entertainment experience out of the ordinary. "

Despite the delay, Microsoft's head of publishing Shannon Loftis said the company has a "solid lineup" for the fall with Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6 and Fable Legends on the docket.

Back in November, Xbox boss Phil Spencer has said wasn't sure if the company would be able to ship all the releases it had scheduled for fall 2015.

The Remedy title was slated for release originally in 2014 on Xbox One before it was delayed into 2015.
