The Elder Scrolls Online drops subscription requirement today

Starting today, you can play The Elder Scrolls Online without needing to pay a monthly subscription.

As promised, Bethesda has transformed The Elder Scrolls Online into the Tamriel Unlimited edition. As of today and going forward, you'll just need to buy a copy of the game to play it, as the name suggests, without limits, no monthly subscription needed.

If you already have a subscription, you will be given the choice of upgrading to the Plus membership and get a 10% progression boost and a monthly allotment of 1,500 crowns, the in-game currency.

The console versions, due in June, will also follow the same model.

Thanks, PCGamesN.
