The Evolved update adds loads of content to Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved.

IGN reports the free upgrade includes 40 adventure mode stages with boss battles, grid shapes and gameplay types; the Sweeper drone and Detonator super ability; Hardcore mode and hardcore leaderboards.

The update will also change up level gating, so you should be able to progress more intuitively.

All current owners of the game on PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One will receive the update for free on March 31. It will also be rolled into the core version on that date, so you can buy it altogether for $15. No word yet on the Mac and Linux versions, but we'll drop a line to Aspyr.
