GTA 5 Online Heists guide: How to get the Hydra and the Valkyrie

They're the most exotic new vehicles in GTA 5 Online Heists. But how do you get them? And How much do they cost?

Everyone wants the Hydra, GTA 5 Online Heist's new Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL) jet. And everyone wants the Valkyrie, the Huey-alike combat chopper with the two, passenger-fired side mini-guns and front-facing cannon. Why not?

But how to get them? And what do they cost?

How do I get the Hydra?

The Hydra is unlocked by playing the EMP job in The Humane Labs Raid heist, the third heist in the series of five. EMP is the third job in the heist. The plane will unlock for purchase after you successfully complete the mission.

You'll only be able to play EMP if you've previously hosted both The Fleeca Job and The Prison Break heists. If you haven't, the only way you're going to be able to gain access to EMP is through another host. If you don't know someone who's already hosted the first two heists, this is going to be completely random. You'll just have to watch your invites and pounce when someone puts a call out for players for that specific heist.

To buy the Hydra, you'll need to go to the in-game Warstock website. Just press up on the d-pad to bring the phone up, go to Internet, then the Warstock Cash & Carry site. Scroll down until you see the plane.

How much does the Hydra cost?

This is the fun bit. Buying a Hydra will set you back a cool $3 million. You'd better hit those heists hard if you want one. Either that or spend a fortune on Shark Cards.

How do I get the Valkyrie?

The Valkyrie is unlocked by playing the Valkyrie job in The Humane Labs Raid heist, the third heist in the series of five. Valkyrie is the fourth job in the heist. The chopper will unlock for purchase after you successfully complete the mission.

Again, you're only going to be able to access the Valkyrie job if you've previously hosted both The Fleeca Job and The Prison Break heists. You're just going to have to watch your invites if you haven't, or hit your friends up to see if they've played through the Heists content to this point.

As with the Hydra, just go to the in-game Warstock Cache & Carry website to buy the Valkyrie.

How much does the Valkyrie cost?

The Valkyrie's slightly cheaper than the Hydra, but not by much. You're going to need $2.85 million to buy one, so start saving.
