Destiny Moon Ride Along tells us more about the Hive

Destiny tells stories in subtle ways. Join Bungie in exploring the Moon, seat of the powerful Hive.

Destiny Ride Along videos feature Bungie and community members exploring the environment. Since Destiny isn't overt in its story telling, there's a wealth of detail to be found in the landscape - if you stop to look, and wonder.

As well as highlighting many of these features, Bungie chats about development, shows off some great concept art and reveals some behind the scenes details.

One of the coolest bits was a discussion of the role voice actor Morla Gorrondona played in shaping the Hive. We already knew Gorrondona voiced many Hive units as well as Eris and Onigul, but at about 1:15 Bungie reveals she also lent her talents to some of the weapon and tech sound effects. If you can hear the Hive, you're hearing her. Super cool.

I also enjoyed learning more about the layout of the Hellmouth base - one wing for Wizards, one wing for Knights, and a shelved command centre in the middle. Plus the whole castle theme, which I feel like an idiot for not seeing immediately.

Anyway, enjoy:
