Lionsgate makes "significant investment" in Telltale Games

Film company Lionsgate and Telltale Games have announced a deal in which the companies will collaborate on "interactive media opportunities" with a focus on original properties. Also, two new members have been added to Telltale's board of directors.

Appointed to the Board of Directors are former EA CEO and Unity Technologies CEO John Riccitiello and Lionsgate's CEO Jon Feltheimer.

The film and television company has made a "significant investment" in Telltale which will continue the "extension" of Lionsgate's film and television brands into the game space.

The collaboration will also enable the two companies to "explore opportunities to co-develop" existing and original IP into episodic games and television.
