Back in January, Sony offered a 20th Anniversary Edition PlayStation 4 with the serial number #00001 to the highest bidder. Sony promised to donate whatever amount it receives to charity.

According to DualShockers, Sony revealed today that the winner failed to deliver the amount, which has delayed the sale of that unit.

The unit with the #00001 serial number will be displayed at the firm's showroom in Ginza, Tokyo, starting February 21.

As for the donation, Sony confirmed that it will donate the bid amount as promised. The money will go to Save the Children charity.
