Super Smash Bros. was shaped by the 3DS

Super Smash Bros. 3DS imposed a number of limitations on the Wii U version.

The latest Super Smash Bros. Did You Know Gaming episode has plenty of intel to share, but the bit I didn't know about was the effect the 3DS verison had on the mothership Wii U release.

Turns out, the Ice Climbers were cut because of the 3DS - but on the other hand, it's also thanks to the portable that Sheik became a full character rather than an alternate Zelda.

That wasn't the only effect, but you'd probably rather watch the video, narrated by the Announcer himself, than read my summary.
