According to translations of the Japanese stream and documents from Cheesemeister up to 32 players can be "passively connected to exchange strategic information or items."

The title displays at 720p and will support GamePad, the Wii U Pro Controller and a USB keyboard. It comes with Miiverse support and allows for Off-TV play.

It's a 22.7GB download and in Japan, it is available for pre-purchase and pre-download in preparation for its April 29 release in Japan.

Per Gematsu, the game takes place on the planet Mira where they player has crash landed. The city of New Los Angeles will be a hub of sorts and contains commercial, industrial, military and residential areas.

There are five continents on the planet: Black Steel Continent, Forgotten Canyon, Luminous Forest, Primal Wilderness and White Tree Continent.

Exploration and systems such as the Navigation Ball and Hopper Camera are shown in the stream. The former acts as a destination guide, while the latter provides an aerial perspective of the surroundings.

The game is open-world in that various areas of the map are traversable, and if the area is hard to access, the player can use a Doll mecha to reach the area.
