Halo: The Master Chief Collection is still broken, believe it or not.

The next Halo: The Master Chief Collection update is, like most of the others so far, designed to resolve the shooter collection's ongoing matchmaking woes.

343 Industries is determined to get it right, apparently, as it's gone so far as to elect to beta test its next update.

Active players who are part of the Xbox Preview program and live in North America have been invited to register to try out the fix.

The test will start on January 23.
