Halo: Combat Evolved playlist back in Master Chief Collection rotation

Good news, Halo fans; the Combat Evolved playlist is live in The Master Chief Collection.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection has so much multiplayer content that playlists are the only way to manage it, outside of custom matches (assuming matchmaking is working, of course).

Many fans were disappointed when the Collection launched without a playlist for Halo: Combat Evolved, but at the time 343 Industries said it had a bit more work to do on that particular title before it felt comfortable showcasing it in a playlist.

Despite all the overtime the team has been pulling on matchmaking the last few weeks, it's managed to do whatever it was it wanted to do, and the Combat Evolved playlist is now available.

"As mentioned before launch, we held this playlist until additional gameplay improvements could be made to Halo: CE, and many of these improvements were included in our most recent content update," the developer said in an update on Halo Waypoint.

The playlist is a 2v2 affair, as determined by community feedback.
