Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster for PS4 spotted on Square Enix store

Another Final Fantasy remake is in the works, apparently.

Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster reportedly popped up on Square Enix Boutique, the publisher's French web store, with a northern spring release date.

No big, right? It's been out on PlayStation 3 and Vita since March 2013. This one was for PS4, though, and a cover art image suggests it was more than just someone ticking the wrong button when updating a page.

The listing, assuming it really existed, is gone now, and all we have to remember is by are a couple of screengrabs posted to NeoGAF - which are easily faked, let's face it.

Maybe we're being unfairly incredulous just because we can't believe Square Enix is doing yet another HD Remaster re-release instead of the Final Fantasy 7 remake we oh-so-briefly thought was really happening this weekend.

Update: heaven defend us, it's real. There's a Google Cache of it, and Gematsu, a reputable source, also sighted the store page before it was pulled.

When contacted by the site, Square Enix issued a delightful non-statement on the matter: "We are looking into this matter and have no comment at this time."
