Mario Maker lets you edit levels as you play through them

Mario Maker is starting to look like one of the most flexible, powerful and intuitive user-generated content suites ever.

This new Mario Maker trailer debuted at The Game Awards, and it's really special. Not only does it show off some of the crazy bullet hell obstacle courses you can create and share, it also shows editing in progress, and it looks like you can do it in real time, on the fly.

Assuming this is a real thing, being able to play a level and throw down platforms at exactly the right spot means creating and play testing courses will be ridiculously easy.

I really can't wait to see what creative players do with Mario Maker when it hits Wii U in the first half of 2015.
