Final Fantasy 13 resolution to be unlocked on Steam next month

Final Fantasy 13 will soon be patched to allow PC gamers to take advantage of higher resolutions.

When Final Fantasy 13 hit Steam last month, many gamers were disappointed to discover it was resolution-locked. Happily, that's about to change.

"The Final Fantasy 13 team have been working hard to improve your experience on Steam and we're happy to announce the following changes will be rolled out at the beginning of December," publisher Square Enix said in a Steam Community update.

"Custom resolutions (720p, 1080p...) and graphic options will be added. We'll be in touch as soon as we're ready for the next one."

The RPG took a very long time to come to PC, so it's great to see Square Enix updating it to take advantage of the PC's features - especially as fans have already started doing so unofficially.
