The documentary is produced by Xbox Entertainment Studios, which Microsoft has shut down recently, but thankfully the E.T. documentary was among the surviving shows.

The Atari: Game Over filming crew went to the New Mexico desert to dig up copies of the E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial game where it was rumoured that thousands of them were buried following the game's devastating failure.

The documentary features an interview with Howard Scott Warshaw, the games's designer. It also covers the final days of Atari, a once mega publisher.

Atari: Game Over will be released November 20 via Xbox Live.
