Looks like the HBO Go app is currently being tested on Xbox One - report

HBO Go is one of the apps eventually landing on Xbox One, and according to images which appeared online this week, the app is currently in beta. Time to binge on Game of Thrones!

A link to a OneDrive album posted on Reddit appeared yesterday, complete with screencaps of the app running on Xbox One.

The images were removed, but not before WP Central grabbed the photos, which we have in turn posted below.

While the shots look authentic, we're going to be safe and refer to these as "alleged" shots for the time being until confirmation from Microsoft.

HBO recently announced it plans to release HBO Go as a stand-alone service in the US next year, which is great news - especially for people like me. I do not have a subscription to HBO because I don't want to pay for extra channels included in the package offered by DishNet.

Now, I can just pay for HBO Go and watch all the shows I've missed out on over the years on my PC, mobile device, or PS3. This also means I won't have to wait until the end of the year to watch Game of Thrones when it comes out on Blu-ray.

The HBO Go app was released on Xbox 360 for Xbox Live Gold members - who were also Time Warner Cable and Bright House customers - back in 2012.
