What is this new Super Smash Bros. Wii U mode?

Super Smash Bros. Wii U director Masahiro Sakurai has teased a mysterious new game mode.

The latest Super Smash Bros. Wii U MiiVerse post from the director shows a previously unannounced solo mode.

Two words from the image have been blurred out. It looks like the mode is called "Master [something], Crazy [something]". The image shows a hand grabbing at gold on both sides, and the red and blue backgrounds suggest some sort of dual role mode.

Who knows how many game modes and other goodies Nintendo is yet to reveal? Also of interest: the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. includes unused audio files suggesting an 8-player mode was in the works at some stage.

The release date for Super Smash Bros. Wii U varies from region to region. North Americans can grab it on November 21, while Europeans have to wait until December 5.
