The Fume Knight is Dark Souls 2's toughest boss

Dark Souls 2 players are defeated the Fume Knight on the overwhelming majority of encounters.

Dark Souls 2's bosses are all pretty tough but there's definitely one much nastier then the rest.

According to data supplied to IGN by Souls developer From Software, nearly 93% of battles with the Fume Knight end in player defeat.

The Fume Knight is found in the Crown of the Old Iron King, as are Elana the Squalid Queen, Sir Alonne and Sinh the Slumbering Dragon - all of whom rank in the top five most deadly bosses.

This data is subject to change now that the Crown of the Ivory King DLC is out; if history repeats itself, the new content will up the ante even further.

The Ruin Sentinels seem to be one of the easiest or at least most popular boss encounters. Players have attempted this battle almost 25 million times and win 76% of the time.
