Little Mac might need a nerf in Super Smash Bros. 3DS

Super Smash Bros. 3DS may have a balance issue.

Fire up Super Smash Bros. 3DS and step into For Glory mode, and you're almost guaranteed to encounter a Little Mac player within a couple of rounds.

Anecdotal evidence suggests Litte Mac is the most commonly selected fighter, and somewhat overpowered. Kotaku gathered a number of examples of players complaining about how difficult it is to counter Little Mac, and how common the character is in For Glory mode.

A number of helpful players have created guides and FAQs for dealing with the character, which is nice, but the breadth and variety of complaints about Little Mac suggest Nintendo will probably want to think about nerfing him a bit.

Post-launch support is something Nintendo is still kind of getting used to (but making great strides!) so it'll be inetresting to see how long it takes for a balancing patch to hit the 3DS fighter.

Super Smash Bros. Wii U now has a release date; it'll be out before the holidays.
