PlayStation Now coming to PS TV, and other details of the new micro-console

Sony has released a huge wallop of information regarding the PlayStation TV, its new take on the Vita formula.

One of PlayStation TV's coolest features is its ability to stream PS4 games, just as your Vita does - but with the added benefit of DualShock 3 and 4 compatibility, which is a little nicer than faffing about with the rear touch pad to emulate the controller buttons the portable lacks.

Now Sony has confirmed you'll also be able to use PlayStation Now on the device - that's Sony's PSN-based streaming games service. The beta version of the service kicks off on PS TV launch day.

If you have even the slightest passing interest in the PlayStation TV, check out Sony's lengthy FAQ on the PlayStation Blog.

The device hits North America on October 14 and is due in Europe and beyond one month later. It is sold in Japan and some Asian territories as the Vita TV.
