Play Super Smash Bros. 3DS at GameStop, earn a spot in the National Open Tournament 

On Saturday, October 4, 15 GameStop stores in the US will host local, three rounds of four-player battles tournaments for Super Smash Bros. 3DS.

Participants for the 64-player local tournaments will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis and there is no need to pre-register - just show up at one of the 15 GameStop stores listed or the Nintendo World Store with your handheld and try your hand.

The winner of each tournament wins a trip to New York where they will participate in the Super Smash Bros. 3DS National Open Tournament at Nintendo World on October 11 where the top 16 players will vie for the title of ultimate champion.

The victor of the final tournament will win a trophy and champion’s robe.

Each local tournament will begin at 11am local time on October 4 at the following GameStop locations:

  • Barnes & Noble (c/o GameStop) - Denver, CO
  • The Brickyard S/C - Chicago, IL
  • Dedham Mall - Dedham, MA
  • St. John’s Plaza - Ellicott City, MD
  • SWM Skibo S/C - Bonnie Doone, NC 28303
  • GameStop on 32 E. 14th Street - New York, NY
  • Bellevue Square - Bellevue, WA
  • Tower Shops - Davie, FL
  • Lake Brandon Shoppes - Brandon, FL
  • SWM Sand Lake Corner - Orlando, FL
  • Chamblee Village - Chamblee, GA
  • Barnes & Noble (c/o GameStop) - Houston, TX 77025
  • Barnes & Noble (c/o GameStop) - Plano, TX 75093
  • Nintendo World - 10 Rockefeller Plaza - New York, NY

Since the local tournaments occur the day after release, on September 27 you can practice at 100 different GameStop stores which are a demo.
