On PS4, the title moved 91,277 units for the week, with the PS3 version selling 49,503. Combined, the title sold 140,780 units on Sony's platforms.

The shooter helped moved PlayStation 4 units, as the console saw sales go from 7,299 the prior week to 23,623 units.

Destiny was not released on Xbox 360 and Xbox One in Japan, as it is a Sony exclusive in the region.

Speaking of Xbox One, a week after release, sales of the console fell from 25,674 units at launch to 3,015 units for the September 8-14 period.
