Limited beta release for Oculus Rift expected by next summer - report

The consumer model for Oculus Rift could see a limited release by next summer, according to a report.

Over on TechRadar and VRfocus, multiple sources told the sites Oculus VR is planning a Google Glass-style roll-out, or beta if you will, sometime during summer 2015

One source told TechRadar the soft launch was originally expected in April, but the firm has yet to agree on a specific date - thus the "by summer" estimate.

Oculus VR will internally handle the distribution of the tech, and it was reported last week the consumer model of Oculus Rift would arrive on the market for around the $200-$400 mark.
