Watch this ace documentary about Japanese video game music

It's Friday. Watch the first part of this awesome game music documentary.

Diggin' in the Carts is put together by the team at Red Bull Music Academy and features contributions from game composers such as Junko Ozawa and rap producers J Rocc and Oh No.

It also includes a look at original circuit boards, ROMS, paper compositions of wave forms and all that other awesome nerdy stuff we love.

Did you know Rally X was the first game to have continuous background music? I didn't. See, it's educational too.

New episodes in the series will be released every week by RBMA.
